Our executive committee, lead by Dr Vukile Mehana, is committed to leading Sizwe according to high standards of integrity and accountability. We are proud to have a dedicated and passionate group of leaders with a deep well of experience who not only drive our strategy and operations, but who also focus on long-term value creation.

Dr Vukile Charles Mehana

Chief Executive Officer and Board member since 2013

Dr Vukile Mehana joined Sizwe Africa IT Group as the Chief Executive Officer in March 2019. Prior to that he was the Chairman of the Group since 2013.

He started his business career in the Human Resource and Organisational Transformation and progressed to strategic positions including acting CEO of a major Parastatal, Director on boards of listed and unlisted Companies and Chairman of a number of Companies.

Dr Mehana holds a Bachelor of Theology degree from the Rhodes University, Advanced Management Programme from INSEAD Business School in France, a Top Management Program Certificate on Public Enterprises from the National University of Singapore, a Masters in Business Administration from De Montfort University in the UK and a Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Johannesburg.

Avhaathu Rathogwa

Chief Revenue Officer

Avhaathu joined Sizwe Africa IT Group in May 2021 in her position as the Chief Revenue Officer and oversees the Company’s overall revenue streams. Her responsibilities include aligning efforts from revenue generating business portfolios to drive profitable growth.  

With 19 years of experience in sales, marketing, and enterprise development, she has led various high-performance teams, and held senior leadership positions within the Facilities Management and ICT sectors.

Avhaathu is enthused by the possibilities brought about by technology and her potential to make an impact in the new wave that comes with the Fourth Industrial Revolution and how it will transform SA’s economy, social life and the way business is conducted. One of her main goals is to motivate other young leaders and help them unlock their full potential.

She joined Sizwe after her tenure at Servest, where she held the position of Group Sales and Marketing Director and played a pivotal role in developing and implementing sales and marketing process and strategy for the Group. Avhaathu was previously the Executive Head at Vodacom leading the SME/Indirect Channel segment with the mandate to drive SME Digital transformation, Enterprise Sales and Retail Strategy. She was at the helm of the Enterprise Business Unit that was responsible for driving retention strategy and profitable growth of the business.

Avhaathu holds a Masters degree in Knowledge Management (Leadership and Decision-making strategy) from the University of Stellenbosch; a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Industrial Psychology from the University of South Africa (UNISA). She has also participated in several leadership programmes through the Wits Business School and the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).

Altus Stoop

Executive: Finance and Human Resources

Altus is a strong leader and goal-directed professional with broad- and in-depth experience within the finance and business environment. He is a highly numerate, strategic and analytical thinker with strong logical reasoning, able to make effective decisions under pressure, and builds solid relationships with clients.

In 2014 Altus joined Sizwe Africa IT Group where he implemented and enforced internal controls, corporate governance, and revised finance procedures that led to greater efficiency and cost saving within the group. His in-depth understanding of the business and operations led to greater quality supply chain, better expenditure control and ROI efficiency.

Altus holds a Master’s in Business Administration, an Honours Degree in Financial Accounting and a Bachelor’s of Commerce in Financial Accounting. He qualified as a Certified Professional Accountant (SAIPA) in 2012.

Aadiel Ayob

Executive: Innovative Enterprise Services and Solutions

Aadiel joined Sizwe Africa IT Group in May 2021 in his role as Executive: Innovative Enterprise Services and Solutions.

Aadiel has more than 30 years’ extensive experience in the ICT and Telecoms industry, across several verticals including Government, Financial Markets, Retail Banking, Short-Term Insurance, Advisory Consulting, Professional and Managed Services.

With an entrepreneurial and results-focused approach to business, he is a modern-day ICT professional with inherently strong analytical and conceptual skills, and the ability to create original concepts and theories supporting business strategy aligned to the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and the latest emerging technologies.

Over the past 32 years, Aadiel has worked for companies like Transnet, Zurich Insurance Corporation, Standard Bank, Strate Limited, Business Connexion, BankservAfrica, Orange Business Services, GiGTECH Global Solutions, and gained extensive experience in ICT and Telecoms starting at the grassroots in globally distributed matrixed and heterogenous business environments.

Aadiel holds a MBA degree from Oxford Brookes University (UK), a Higher Diploma in Business Management and Diploma in Computer Networks from the South African Institute of Management, and the Information Technology User’s Council of SA (ITUC), respectively. His ICT industry certifications, includes qualifications from Cisco Systems, AWS, Microsoft, APMG International, VMEdu Inc and The Open Group.

Tasneem van Wyk

Executive: Converged Connectivity and Infrastructure Solutions

Tasneem joined Sizwe Africa IT Group in 2018 and in May 2021 was appointed Executive: Converged Connectivity and Infrastructure Solutions.

She has a deep understanding of managing complex projects of different sizes gained from over 13 years of managing successful implementations and integrations of various ICT solutions including IPT, LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security, Video Conferencing, Telepresence, ACI, Data Center and Business Support System projects across South Africa and the Middle East and Africa environments.

In her various positions at Sizwe, one of Tasneem’s key objectives has been to utilise technology and innovation methodologies to deliver more effectively and efficiently and ensure that short, medium and long term operational strategies are implemented in line with the growth objectives and profitability of the business.

Tasneem joined Sizwe after her tenure at Dimension Data, where she held various positions within the Project Management discipline for more than a decade, managing and implementing different ICT solutions in various verticals of the business.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems and an Honours Degree obtained from the University of the Western Cape as well as a Master of Commerce Degree in Informatics obtained from the University of Pretoria. In addition, she also holds various industry related certifications such as Prince2, SAFe4 Scrum Master, SAFe4 Agilist and ITIL.

Rudi Fourie

Executive: Service Delivery

Rudi started his career at Comsel 4 in 1999 as an IT Technician. He joined Sizwe a, in 2002 as Project Manager for ICT projects, specialising in SAPS Solutions.

In 2007 his responsibilities grew to include Facilities Management and he led the team that was responsible for growing Facilities Management contracts. At the beginning of 2012 the Fibre Optic Portfolio was added to his responsibilities to grow productivity and improve efficiency.

Rudi has been instrumental in growing the offering scope at the division, to include alternative energy solutions.

Bongi Radebe

Executive: Corporate Services

Bongi began working for Sizwe in 2011 as an independent Marketing Consultant. In August 2013 she joined the Company as Executive: Corporate Development.

Through strategic business development and transformation interventions, Bongi has positively differentiated Sizwe from its competitors among private and public stakeholders. Bongi has also been instrumental for building and maintaining the brand portfolio through the design and implementation of marketing strategies and plans across the Company.

Bongi has substantial skill and knowledge in business development, brand management, cultural transformation, sales, marketing, corporate affairs, corporate social investment, government relations, corporate development and managing high performance teams.

She has served in many key leadership roles in vertical industries including Standard Bank, Drake International, BMW South Africa, Southern Sun Hotels, Nedbank, and Pamodzi Gold. Bongi is a certified Cultural Transformation Tool practitioner.

Itumeleng Mochocho

Executive: Strategic Partnerships and SMME Development

Itumeleng Mochocho joined Sizwe Africa IT Group as Account Manager in September 2012 and later moved into the position of Senior Manager: Business Development.

Prior to his years at Sizwe, he held the role of Managing Director as well as Group Strategy Director at Black IQ, Sales and Training Coordinator at Cell C, Sales Specialist at IBM South Africa and IT Technician at Schoeman en Vennotte, proving that his strategic, operational and sales expertise is founded on a broad spectrum of experience. His leadership earlier in his career focused on the transformation of businesses, leaner organisations and increasing competitiveness.

A consummate student he holds a Master’s in Business Administration, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management, a National Diploma in Information Technology and a Leadership Development Programme qualification.
