B-BBEE

Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment

Our view is that diversity fosters growth and will drive inclusive economic growth and sustainable employment particularly for women, youth and entrepreneurs.

Sizwe is committed to building and continuously strengthening partnerships with local Small Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) in our effort to contribute towards job creation. We achieve this through various programmes:

Sizwe Enterprise and Supplier Development Programme (SSDP)

The programme aims to actively develop a robust network and increase the number of black-, youth-, and women-, owned businesses that can supply products and services across our value chain. We also capacitate and up-skill existing and potential suppliers, as well as the employees of selected partners.

Sizwe Sales Academy

We recruit top ICT graduates and develop them into our next-generation of Sizwe sales leaders. The programme is designed to prepare the graduates to successfully jump-start their sales or pre-sales careers with a view of hiring the graduates if they successfully complete the programme.

The intensive and innovative training programme provides world-class, hands-on educational and experiential training. Our programme bespoke to Sizwe, its culture and values allows graduates to build critical capabilities, collaborate with peers, and industry partners to gain invaluable experience in the ICT industry.

Sizwe Learnership Programme

We run a range of SETA accredited learnerships to equip previously disadvantaged as well black disabled individuals with the necessary skills to thrive in this competitive and rapidly changing sector. The programme also creates a skills pool that will benefit Sizwe, the industry and South Africa.

SMME

Development Progamme

We believe that Small Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) are productive drivers of inclusive economic growth and development. To achieve accelerated growth that contributes to the national agenda of job creation and poverty alleviation, we create enabling environments that encourage entrepreneurship, and develop and support SMMEs in the ICT sector.

The programme, which spans across South Africa, encompasses mentoring, training, hands-on skills transfer, processes, business and technical expertise, and formal certification.

Collaboration, partnering on projects, and information-sharing exposes SMMEs to new opportunities, refines their capabilities and facilitate the access to new and normally inaccessible partners and markets.

Our partners are part of our go-to-market strategy and by leveraging our Level 1 B-BBEE accreditation we are able to provide further support to a wide range of black-owned SMMEs nationwide.

We at Sizwe IT Group know that when SMMEs are given the right support, and accesess to markets they can succeed.

Tshepo Mpete

Owner and CEO of Setsibi IT Support Services

I always wanted to be an entrepreneur and to run my own businesses. The invaluable benefits of the Sizwe SMME development programme made this deep-seated aspiration a reality.

I met with Jos Matthysen in 2013 and it was apparent that the Company fully recognised that it has the responsibility to collaborate with SMMEs by creating long-term and mutually beneficial relationships.

Sizwe nurtures start ups, like Setsibi. The provision of the innovative suite of solutions which form part of the programme allowed Setsibi to achieve its vision, unlock its true potential and for it to become both sustainable, profitable and competitive.

I have had access to specialist advisory services and Sizwe’s sector-specific interventions made it possible for me to have strategic access to networking opportunities, service providers, partners, subcontractors and Original Equipment Manufacturers.

Sizwe and Setsibi now partner on various projects and jointly pursue tenders

Founder and CEO of Thamani Technologies and Systems

Sizwe genuinely invests its time, energy and space in committed entrepreneurs. The programme boosts SMMEs and actually makes it possible for them to reach their potential.

As an entrepreneur, I could draw on Sizwe’s diverse relationships across variety of sectors to unlock alliances with service providers that offer accredited training programmes and capacity building. We work together to access markets, technology and specialist skills, that have contributed towards the growth of my business. They also offered Thamani Technology bespoke solutions in the form of human resource management services.

Through the programme’s multiplier effect, Sizwe’s interventions can help address South Africa’s current challenges of poverty, unemployment and inequality.
